It was a hard road to meet (no, to find) the elves. Really, when you need them, they are nowhere to be found. I think we were on our tenth or eleventh day of our adventure when we finally met up with a few elves. I was so happy! We found our very first magical creature we were looking for...
Who would have thought that finding the elves would be so hard? It was especially hard because there are so many different elves. You have small ones, big ones, and middle sized ones, and elves that look like those elves from Lord of the Rings. Those were the first elves we met; elves that looked like Orlando Bloom! Uh… I mean that looked like Legolas from Lord of the Rings.
They looked so amazing! So silent… so cool. It was quite a pleasant view, how these elves looked like. I never imagined that I would really meet elves from Lord of the Rings, so let me cut the chase.
There I was with Buffy, surrounded by elves with weird names and a weird language. To be honest, it was kind of hard to talk to them. I was at a loss for words, and I wasn’t the only one. Buffy was also lost in the language of the elves. They were talking so strange.
So the only thing we could do was nod a bit and point at things. It was hard to communicate this way with them, but we managed to do it somehow.
During the meeting with these elves, we managed to understand that these elves weren’t full elves but were half elves. They were almost the same size as humans. In the beginning I had always thought that elves were the size of little umh… things… with wings. Well these half elves didn’t look like that. Like I said, they looked like the elves from Lord of the Rings: so tall, with long hair and a weird language.
Because we had a long road ahead of us, the elves let us stay to eat some dinner and they gave us a lovely sleeping place, and it was not under trees. Well, it was under trees, but it was more like in a tree house. It was a lovely place to stay, and since both me and Buffy had slept in a little tent the past few days, this was a treat.
And besides that, we also got some decent food… well, in the beginning I thought it was decent. It looked decent. They served a lot of salads and vegetables. And meat… well, I didn’t really dislike it that they served meat. I like meat once in awhile, but when I tried it, I was like “EWW what is this?”
As I talked with the elves- well, Buffy did most of the talking ‘cause she could understand it better than me. The meat appeared to be the meat of a deer. When I heard that I looked with huge eyes to the meat. It didn’t look like a deer, but it didn’t taste good.
Out of politeness to the Elves I tried a few more bites, but it really wasn’t my taste. I tasted the red wine in which they drenched the deer.
So instead of stuffing myself with meat, I stuffed myself with vegetables. I almost felt like a rabbit. But then again, that stuff was very nice to eat! And it stilled my hunger, so I didn’t have to starve to death.
After the meal, we sat until the sun set with the elves around a huge campfire. There we talked, used sign language, and laughed a lot. I think it was after midnight when we finally went to bed. The next morning, we thanked the hospitality of the half elves.
We went on with our awesome road trip, towards our next adventure.
