In the muggle world, spring cleaning is an age old tradition where muggles run around with brooms and mops and sweep out all the dust bunnies trying to make their homes sweet and clean for the fresh smelling spring air. They traipse around for days trying to beat the dirt out of their rugs and wipe the finger prints off their walls.
But here in our magical world, spring cleaning can take on a whole new
That potion you were working on for class last term and then chucked into the corner of your trunk once you got that D for dreadful as a result? Well the dark dankness of your room has caused it to change. Instead of being a simple cleaning potion for hard to get out spots, it has by now escaped from its container and is happily dissolving the socks you tossed in after getting mud all over them.
And don't forget about our beloved house creatures! We have had a few over the years. Boris the sock was a strange one. He will be that lone sock you see mooning over Ilona Littrell under the windows at night while looking up at the moon. But if you see him on your cleaning quests, BEWARE! Zenix won't be far behind. She still holds a torch for dear old Boris. And I mean that literally. She stalks the halls sometimes late at night hoping to find him and torch him for not returning her undying affection.
Of course that torch she carries is also her secret weapon in trying to find her other love, Edward Cullen. He was also one of our house creatures for a while. (EWWWWWWWW!) But Edward tried to ditch her by going into hiding. With that sparkly skin of his (DOUBLE EWWWWWWWW!), his only way to hide was to allow himself to get very, very dusty. That stops the *sparkle* from showing under direct light.
So when you are cleaning your dorm room. Be very careful where you dust. If you accidentally clean off any of Edwards skin, you could be trampled by her as she charges for him.
Happy spring Cleaning everyone!
