by Polaris Black From the moment Ginny saw Harry
A torch for him she would carry But he didn’t know Through Voldy and Cho That they would eventually marry! As opposite as can be Are Ron and Hermione But within those traits Are two soul-mates It’s the one thing that they agree! The Goblins at Gringotts Bank Are the ones Bill really should thank He got to know Fleur With all her allure Despite their difference in rank! “Charlie’s popular,” Gryffs would say But post-Hogwarts he went far away He works really late This limits his date To a dragon on Valentine’s Day! In november people celebrate thanksgiving. I want you guys to write a poem with Thanksgiving as a theme. So think about turkey, stuffing, togetherness. How you celebrate it, you name it!
by Polaris BlackSo EVERYONE’S out and about
That’s still no reason to pout. Grandma’s over the bridge Through woods just a smidge, We’ll be there by 3:00 no doubt. OK, so we get there by 4:00 And EVERYONE comes to the door. Adults, teens, and tots We love them all lots. But it’s time for some football gore! Later EVERYONE eats with such glee All the sides, stuffing, and turkey Until belts get too tight Guess we’re done for the night. Well, maybe desert and coffee. . . One thing that every chef wishes Is that EVERYONE else wash the dishes But I’m not forlorn Because I’m Muggle-born I’ll be done with a few flicks and swishes! by Amy LupinThanksgiving is when we express our gratitude
and spend time with family and friends, fostering a positive attitude and accepting what the world our way sends. Originating with the end of the harvest, celebrating its success with a feast. The food is absolutely marvelous not least of all in Plymouth to the east. Delicious food ranging from turkey to apple pie, cranberry sauce, stuffing and corn, once consumed, elicit a contented sigh sometimes even past dawn. There's also a lot of fun to be had. Playing games of all sorts, after which everyone feels glad, regardless of whether the games have been made-up or bought. Appreciation of one's heritage, regardless of whether one hails from that particular area or not, or whether one comes from beyond the river or ridge, is something that should not be forgot. by Sirius FudgeHarry Potter, online community
The Sett, Quidditch, some tea Badgers looking for their Parker Some things I am grateful here. Crazy, point earning beings Creative ideas one brings Competitive, awesome things Some things I am grateful here. Friends to laugh and talk with Whatever books they read Have differences but still united Some things I am grateful here. HOLers here past and present Early years, memories spent From them, we’ve room rent Some things I am grateful here. Huge thanks to all stuff in here Awesome, crazy group of HOLers For the love of Harry Potter Some things I am grateful here. Well autumn is around the corner and so are all the things that follows autumn. But if we are talking about October, I think the thing that's world wide known the best, although not celebrated everywhere, it would be Halloween. So it's up to you guys to write a 'scary' poem for this months challenge!
by Amy LupinThe end of October brings with it
great excitement and anticipation as people don their carefully crafted outfits and join others in celebration. Halloween symbolizes many things whether honoring saints or acknowledging the harvest. Around the world people are it commemorating, including some of the oldest and the youngest. Activities include apple bobbing, carving pumpkins, watching horror movies and sitting around bonfires, typically with with friends or kin, although hopefully without causing the neighbour's ire. There are usually a variety of costumes to be seen, from vampires to penguins and celebrities and even pirates, superheroes and queens throughout each city From trick-or-treating one can receive plenty of sweets by knocking on each door that one passes. Having fun in the process is also a treat especially when one participates alongside the masses. by Sirius FudgeCold dark tunnels where torches glow
Laughing Parker wherever we go Chilly misty wind in our cheeks blow The underground Sett where horrors flow No candies and toys abound this year But monsters roam free, it’s true my dear From a boggart to a devil’s snare Hufflepuffs are in for a scare. The greatest monster of all unveiled Sheets with holes ready under the beds No anti-repellents for this, the rules said Beware all Huffle firsties, even the heads. Thirteen days of Huffle horror waits Thirteen days of Huffleween dates Where to run and where to hide Monster mash is ready to stride. While Gryffindor Gryfftoberfests Hufflepuff would tackle beasts It is Halloween on everyone’s lists Time to create some scary mess by Polaris BlackGryffs don’t run and they won’t hide
Even if Basilisks roam inside But the coffee is gone Rorey’s running a con No wonder Fumei’s petrified! If that isn’t creepy enough There’s been even more scary stuff The Sett’s seen Fu’s shade And new art has been made. Doing homework has really been tough! Everyone knows there’s a rule Headmaster could close the school! That’s more of a scare Then venom or stare Couldn’t you guys find a Ghoul? To open the Chamber was mean A Basilisk’s really extreme Suffice it to say Fu get points anyway So thaw her for Halloween! |
