The Nerdy Lion by Sirius Fudge
This is a story of a nerdy lion, a nerdy lion who wants to be happy in his life. He just wants to have a nerdy day together with his playmates and friends. This is done by him being nerdy in all the different things for the day.
He starts the day with the nerdy growl. He says the roar with utmost clarity and sophistication. With his nerdy skills, he let out a morning roar, “RRROOAARRR!” He does not wake anyone, as the result of his perfect-volume roar, that is, loud enough to send his message of might and soft enough not to wake his family around. His roar also possesses that perfectly-aligned three R’s, two O’s and A’s ending in the three R’s that provided a good length of follow-up to his roar, increasing the fierceness of the roar. This is polished finely with the one exclamation mark that gave the roar the sudden stop needed for a clean finish. The nerdy lion is satisfied with his first roar of the day, gives it a few more tries and proceeds to his wonderful day.
He proceeds to the pond, has a six gulps of fresh water, nothing more, nothing less. He knows that the water will sustain him until the sun is at above the pine tree in the west. He already tried and tested it a few times before. One time, it saved his sibling when all of his family members were too tired because of the excess water they had on their bodies or the lack of it. At that time, he was the only one who managed to chase the enemy carrying his sibling because of the right amount of water in his body. From that time on, he managed to calculate these things, maximizing them for his body’s daily performance.
That was a long time ago. Today is a different day. The nerdy lion has a dilemma. The other members of his family don’t trust the nerdy nature of his, that it is not normal, and that it will lead them to great danger one day. The nerdy lion was thinking of this and today, he must decide. Will he leave the family he loves to save them from future, uncertain harm and be a nerdy lion like he used to be or deny his nerdy self and live a not-nerdy life with his family? The sun is already rising. It is now or never. A decision must be made.
He then runs away from his family, galloping with his body inclined in the most efficient angle such that he’ll not get tired and yet reach the greatest distance. He is running away from them, in his nerdy way. After all, if he is to stay, he’ll be forced to live in a not-nerdy way, that is, to die. And so at the end of the day, the nerdy lion continues to be nerdy and lives.
