Single Paw Print Submissions
If you don't have the time, energy, or desire to apply for one of our super awesome, extra fun and alluring Staff Positions, you can still be a part of the Paw Print by submitting whatever you do care for! The Paw Print has a lot of opportunities for you to be involved, and greatest of all you will be rewarded for all of your efforts! You will receive up to 10 points per article or graphic that you submit, with an opportunity to earn more points if you submit to the Prose & Cons section of the Paw Print!
Check out all that we have to offer below!
1. Having a column
Having a column means that you have to commit to writing for the Paw Print each month. In order to be allowed to write a column without being a staff member, you will have to prove that you will stick around for a bit - so submitting single articles and submissions to the Prose & Cons before asking for a column is a definite plus! And on a side note, if you want to have a column, you should definitely consider applying for staff, as having a column would fill up most of your requirements as a staff member anyway! Each column article must be 500 words.
2. Writing an article
For this, it is as simple as it sounds - write an article about anything that suits your fancy and submit it to the Paw Print. It can be about actual events going on around the common room, HOL, or in Quidditch, or it can be an article about something outside the column walls. Check out all of our different sections in the navigation menu for ideas for what you can do! The only requirement is that each article is 500 words long.
3. Having a gallery
Having a gallery means that you commit to adding at least one image, painting, graphic, or other piece of artwork a month. In order to be allowed to have a gallery without being a staff member, you much prove that you will be reliable with this (we don't want to end up with a bunch of empty galleries!) - so submitting single articles or graphics, or doing the monthly challenges would be a definite plus! If you are interested in a gallery though, you should certainly consider applying for staff, as having a gallery would fill up most of your staff member requirements anyway!
4. Submitting a graphic
This is also quite simple in nature - if you see an area that you think we could use a graphic, feel free to make one! Be sure to submit an idea for your graphic first using our contact page, or by talking to to Fumei Shirokuro, just to make sure someone isn't working on the same graphic as you!
5. Submitting to the monthly Gryffindor Challenges!
Each month there will be four challenges to complete worth ten points each! To find out all about these challenges and get these additional points (these are separate from regular Paw Print submission points) check out this page!
