Hey there, fella! This monthly column is called, "The Gaming World," where I will be summarizing everything that's going on in the world of gaming! I shall be starting out on all the latest developments and game reviews from each and every console!
The Halo 4 Xbox 360 Console Bundle is now available for pre-ordering! The bundle contains your standard Xbox 360 console (320GB), two controllers, a wireless headset and the game itself. The design skins of the consoles and the controllers are very good and you could spot it from a good 15 feet away if you had to! When you switch on your console or eject a disk from the disc drive, you will be greeted by the custom Halo 4 sound, which is a really cool addition to the console! Players of this special edition are awarded with special Halo 4 downloadable content including a unique armor skin, a unique weapon skin, a unique emblem, matching avatar armor and a unique avatar prop. This bundle will set you back $399.99 and can be pre-ordered from the Microsoft Online Store.
EA have announced that there is a special Battlefield 4 Beta if you have pre-ordered the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition. The entire details about how the gameplay of the Battlefield 4 beta hasn't been released yet, but the graphical performance and the Medal of Honor: Warfighter game looks absolutely amazing! The access to the exclusive beta will be available when the autumn of 2013 rolls by *ouchies*. The Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be available in stores October 23, 2012.
All of those who own the Nintendo DS, don't miss out on these great titles as they have proven to be worth your time (and money). Here's the list:
New Super Mario Bros.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
Mario Kart DS
The Pokemon Generations (that means every single video game of the Pokemon Franchise from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl to Pokemon Black and White. I also own every single one of them!)
The London 2012 Game Review:
Everyone out there may have had their attention to the London Olympic Games, thus Sega Studios decides to create a video game for this 4-yearly phenomenon. The game tries to capture the feel of the actual Games, but Sega missed their foothold by a long shot! The campaign mode is dull and there isn't any lasting appeal when you play the events. The inability of the practice mode is tedious, but that could be compensated with the fun mini-games and the stellar graphics. Er, sort of.
The mini-games are way more exciting than the campaign. This mode will make you focus on your sheer skill, patience, and careful timing (especially Archery and Skeet events) rather than your usual button-mashing, resulting in a very sore thumb. *puts thumb in cold water*
In the single player campaign mode, you can choose from more than 30 national countries and lead them to glory! Two events are played each day and there are two rounds: the qualifying round and the finals. The tutorial before each event is well informative but there isn't any practice mode for you to perfect your skills and you are left with just the tutorial and your own instincts of winning the events.
It is clear that the game isn't one of the better single-player games but it can be even more exciting when playing multi-player with your friends or family and beating them for the gold spot! The Kinect version of this game is much more like Kinect Sports but equally as fun. It accurately tracks your motions when playing with the Kinect and events such as sprints and hurdles are the more exciting ones.
Overall, there's not much to say other than the lack of excitement in the single player campaign mode but the mini games do bring some fun. The London 2012 is an average game to play, but only if you want this as a multi-player game to play with your family! I'd rather play Athens 2004 on the PS2 now, though. *sigh*

So guys that's the end of my column for this month! Next's months column will be even more exciting with many games releasing! So stay tuned and keep gaming! *waves goodbye!*
