This month’s Wrock House Music brings to you the GREAT band THE PARSELMOUTHS! Here are some of my favorites by them!! Enjoy and tell me what you think!
Black Family Anthem The Parselmouths | The Black Family Anthem is a song that explains the three Black Sisters’ relationship with each other. The Black Sisters are Bellatrix Black (Lestrange), Narcissa Black (Malfoy) and Andromeda Black (Tonks). In the song, Bella explains her love for the Dark Arts and how she has family power since she is the oldest of her sisters. Narcissa, the youngest, believed in blood purity like her family, and also believed a lot in her beauty. She didn't appreciate the Dark Arts as much as her sister Bella; she had a greater appreciation to her beauty. Finally, Andromeda, the middle child. She refers to herself as the most different of the three since she doesn't agree with the things she was taught in her home. She said that there are times where she wishes to run away. As stated in the books, she was disowned and burned from the Family Tree when she married the Muggle-born Ted Tonks. Sirius Black, also being disowned from the family, refers to her as his favorite cousin! |
What Kind of a Name is a Hermione The Parselmouths This song is mostly showing the hate and jealousy of a couple of school girls towards Hermione. They make fun of her poofy hair and say it's dirty; they make fun of her bloodline and parents, and even her grades! They think she cheated to get those great grades, so they hate her even more! But one thing they like about her is the fact she "hangs around that gorgeous Harry Potter"! Haha! That's girl drama for ya! | |
We Let a Gryffindor into Our Band The Parselmouths | This one is one of my favorites since it shows that just because you're in a different House, it doesn't mean you can't be friends, or bandmates! In the first verse they say that people think it's not possible that they WILLINGLY let her in due to their houses’ rivalry. But because there's a lot of work, they needed the help and hired the Gryffindor Eia. But because they think they are somewhat better, they implied that they were almost using her. Then in the chorus they say they don't care what other people think about the new addition, since they needed to expand. Then they explain that they can come Wrock (rock) with them no matter which house you are from! In the second verse they say that running their band is hard work, but Gryffindors, being determined, are good at that. They know she's not evil, and make fun of her not so good smirk, but compliment her singing talents as well. The Slytherins, being all about pride, show that just because she joined doesn't mean they will change how they work in the dungeons! They then admit to liking her, but explain they still dislike Gryffindor in general! Well, no one is perfect, baby steps! This rivalry will end eventually! |
