You have evil and evil, and the biggest evilness that exists is the BBC. The greatest evil, though, has to be Steven Moffat. Not familiar with Steven Moffat? You should keep that up; if you get familiar with him, you will end up with lots of feels.
Let’s start with Christmas, where we have the Christmas special of Doctor Who. Did people die in this Christmas special? Yes, they did. Did it leave me in tears? No, this time it did not, although if you asked me about the 50 year anniversary special of Doctor Who, then I would say yes, it did leave me in ‘feels’! If I started writing about either of these episodes, I would probably end up writing a whole summary to both! Because I’m sure you don’t want a summary, I will leave things at that.
Tumblr exploded, Twitter died, and all the fans? They are devastated and CAN’T wait for season four of Sherlock. At the end of the last episode, the terror of having to wait for two more years for the next season is horrifying! Luckily, something marvellous was mentioned. Rumour has it that the next season will appear this year around Christmas, so hopefully I won’t have to wait for two years this time. I would probably die before then!
So that’s Doctor Who and Sherlock, but something that is not Steven Moffat related, yet totally Christmas/New Year related: the lovely show Top Gear. The marvellous hosts of Top Gear filmed a Christmas special but they didn’t anticipate that there wouldn’t be ANY place left in the airing slots. This meant that they recorded it, and after that realized that they weren’t able to show their Christmas special. So instead, we will be seeing a lovely Top Gear CHRISTMAS special in March. Isn’t that lovely? Christmas is extended to March!
So this is the end of my lovely rant. I will end with just something special for those who watch/love/adore Sherlock just as much as I do… “Did you miss me?”.
