Graduation Hat Pops are small pops which looks like Graduation Hats! These are very easy to make and delicious if you like chocolate!
Ingredients
- Lollipop sticks
- Reese peanut butter cups (small ones)
- After Eight flat ones
- Sour Candy belts
- Tiny sugar bells
- Frosting (or make some ‘glue’ with icing sugar and water)
So now we have all the ingredients let start with composing those Graduation Hats! We start off with unwrapping the peanut butter cups and the After Eights. Take the Sour Candy belts and cut them into tassels that will fall over the edge of the After Eight.
If you have done all these steps let’s get started with creating these delicious treats! First of take an unwrapped peanut butter cup and stick a lollipop stick in it. Add some frosting on the bottom of the cup and attach it to an After Eight. If you look closely you have a hat! Well I don’t think you have to look that closely to it, but you get what I mean right?
So okay now you have your hat, let’s create it into a Graduation Hat! Take some more frosting (or glue) and add a little drop in the middle of the After Eight. Put a sugar bell on that spot. Then comes the last task, adding the tassel. Put some more frosting on the After Eight in a tin line, place the Sour Candy tassel on it and make sure it sticks.
And with that you are DONE! To make sure that these Graduation Hat Pops don’t fall, stick them in a Lollipop stand or create your own. Making your own is quite easy. You can take a mug add some sand in it and stick the Graduation Hat Pop in it!
Go on and make some more so you can give them to all your friends, family and to whoever you want!
Another easy to make treat is the all known cupcake!! Since I tend to get lazy when making these, today I’m giving the easy way out recipe for Graduation Cupcakes.
Ingredients
- Cupcake mix or cake mix (and the ingredients you need for this…)
- Fondant
- Butter crème
- Small bow with water
So I’m lazy and you guys can probably figure out what you need to make Cupcakes. So just make them according to the instructions on the pack. Let those freshly made Cupcakes cool down. In the meantime that they are cooling down let’s make some decorations for your cupcakes. For this you can literally do anything you want!
Best thing to start with making a background for your decorations. For this roll out the fondant you want to use for it. Make sure it’s not too thick or too thin. If you make it too thin your background can break when you want to put it on your cupcake. Cut out a shape for your Cupcake. I love to just use easy shapes like flowers, circles, etc that will cover my whole cupcake. Make sure you create enough backgrounds to cover all your cupcakes!
So that’s for the background. Let’s now start making the decorations you put on your cupcakes. For this let your imagination go wild and just mould your fondant in the shape you want. Once I decided to make nurse related cupcakes! For this I created a small red cross and some other nurse related things.
After you are done with your moulding take your cooled down cupcakes and your butter crème. Put a little bit of butter crème on your cupcake and then add the background on it. Press it slightly, but make sure you don’t add fingerprints on them ;)
And now to add your decorations on it! We won’t put them on the background fondant with the butter crème, but with a little bit of water. Add a really little bit of water on the backside of your decoration and then press it slightly on your cupcake.
Just follow this procedure until you have done all your cupcakes! And that’s it for how you make delicious looking graduation cupcakes! Have fun with making them!
